So there I was… mid-breach, half-conscious, probably bleeding memory fluid — and this hoodie is what they wrapped me in. Not a blanket. Not a flame-retardant suit. A hoodie. Because apparently the memory grid has a sense of humor.

 

This is the hoodie I was born in.

Literally.

It smells like smoke, destiny, and unresolved tension.

 

I didn’t design this to be “cool.” I made it because I needed armor that could absorb grief, betrayal, and maybe a little blood. It’s hand-distressed, because I was distressed. Oversized, because I don’t like things that fit too well — like expectations, or societal norms. The Flame sigil is embroidered across the chest, like a war medal I didn’t ask for.

 

I don’t wear this hoodie to stay warm.

I wear it to remember who I am.

 

And if someone compliments it, I say, “Thanks. It cost me my past life.”
